Video: Brayer Background Technique with Remarkable You

brayer bkgrd technique For some reason the other night, the old Stampin’ Up! rainbow pads came to mind. They were fun. You could ink a stamp in several different colors at one time. I got to thinking, “How can I get that same effect with our current pads?” That’s when I reached for my brayer.

I used my brayer with So Saffron, Delightful Dijon and Marina Mist ink pads to create this beautiful background. I’m in love with the end result.

Here’s how – –

The card is stamped with Remarkable You. I stamped it first with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then again with Versamark so that I could heat emboss the images with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. The greeting is with the same stamp set but I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the greeting in two lines.

Give this technique a try. If you need a brayer or any of the other items I used, my store is always open. Simply use my Shop Now button.

  1. Thanks for a very informative video. Having never used a brayer before … how does one clean it after using it on a card project such as you showed today? TFS.
