Let Your DSP Do The Talking …
I picked up the Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush and Pool Party cardstock panels from the colors in the Cherry on Top DSP used for the pinwheel. Cherry on Top is a fun DSP pack full of color and life. I use it all of the time because, yes, the colors are fun, but also because the patterns in the papers are easy to work with, making it easy to pull together a cohesive design.
Dots, Dots and More Dots!
I started my card design with my pinwheel to replicate the “star” for the challenge. (For a video tutorial on how to make this pinwheel go here.)Since one of the DSP papers within the pinwheel had polka dots, I decided to incorporate both the Decorative Dots and Large Polka Dots embossing folders. The dots in the DSP are bold while the dots in the embossed panels are subtle. Nonetheless, the common elements work together to create harmony in the end product
