Birthday Blossom with In Color Washi Tape

I’m a happy girl when I have a stamp set with a coordinating punch. I love that with a quick stamp, stamp, stamp and punch, punch, punch, I’m done.

130698GStampin’ Up!’s new stamp set, Birthday Blossoms, coordinates beautifully with our Pansy Punch which is what I used here. The mini flower from the our Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack and a pearl complete the look.

Color Choices:
The colors of ink and cardstock that I used here were dictated by the new In Color Designer Washi Tape I wanted to use. These three strips of washi tape are in Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon so I incorporated those same colors in the ink and cardstock.

Creating Balance:
The top left corner needed something. In the end I used the brushstroke stamp from Gorgeous Grunge.
Gorgeous Grunge is one of the few stamp sets that I ordered on wood blocks. I knew that I would use it often so I wanted each stamp to have its own block. Additionally, this isn’t a stamp set that requires precision in placement so the inability to see through the block isn’t a handicap.
