I’m lovin’ our new In Colors. Each day I have a new favorite. At first it was Mint Macaron. Now I think it’s Watermelon Wonder. Or is it Tip Top Taupe? I can’t decide!
You know I love to make inexpensive gifts. These mini composition books, measuring only 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″, came three to a pack at the dollar store. Aren’t they cute? They’re made with Stampin’ Up!’s new In Colors, our new Hostess stamp set A Whole Lot of Lovely and the now-retired Sophisticated Serifs stamp set (see EDIT below for alternatives). With hand-stamped covers and a ribbon bookmark, these “minis” become “magnificent!”
Best Bundle Bargain for the Buck
The 2015-2016 In Color Cardstock and Pad Kit (#138358) is a great deal! In the kit you get all five ink pads plus four each of all five colors in cardstock for a mere $32.50. In essence, the 20 pieces of cardstock are FREE because purchasing just the five ink pads individually would cost $32.50! Who wouldn’t purchase the new In Color Cardstock and Pad Kit?
Which adhesive is best?
If you’re covering a full-size notebook that will be handled a lot, I suggest Fast Fuse Adhesive or our new Tear and Tape Adhesive. These are super-strong adhesives that will stand up to everyday wear and tear. However, these two adhesives don’t have any give so you need to be sure that your placement of the cardstock on the notebook covers is exactly where you want it – the first time.
EDIT – – The Sophisticated Serifs stamp set is no longer available. This wonderful letter set was featured in our Occasions Catalog which expired on June 2nd. Alternatives for monogramming these mini composition books would be the Back to Basics Alphabet set (#133742) or the Little Letters Thinlits (#133730).
