Decorative Pad and RSVP Pen with the InKing Royalty Blog Hop

InKing Royalty Blog Hop - AprilWelcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop.  Today we are celebrating April Showers – not only is this the season for Baby Showers and Wedding Showers, but May flowers are just around the corner, so you’re certain to see a great variety of projects along the hop.  You may have started the Blog Hop here or may have hopped over from Brian King at Stamp with Brian.  After you read my post, I  hope you’ll hop over to the next.  If you get off track at any point during the blog hop, there’s a complete list of participants at the end of this post.

J-pad“Let your stamps work for you.”

That’s my mantra. If you’re familiar with my blog, you’ve “heard” me  say this before. When you make gifts with your Stampin’ Up! products, the money you save on those gifts essentially reimburses you for your investment in stamping supplies. Here’s a gift I made for a co-worker who will be getting married soon. I wanted to create something with her new monogram to include in her shower gift.

I used Blackberry Bliss cardstock and a sheet from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack to dress up this notepad that I found at Big Lots a while back. The pad was part of a multi-pack but my guess is that I didn’t spend more than .75 per pad. Given with a matching pen makes, this a great little gift!

s0239246_sc7These Pentel RSVP pens can be found at any office supply store as well as Walmart. The everyday price per pen is about $1.00 but you can often find them on sale for half that amount. What’s brilliant about these pens is that the barrel easily accommodates matching DSP or stamped image.

For roughly $1.75, I have this special monogrammed gift to give my coworker. A gift for $1.75? You can’t beat that!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Candy Ford at Stamp Candy.  You certainly won’t want to miss any of these projects.
