More Gorgeous than Grunge

YIPPEE!!!!!  I received my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and couldn’t wait to test drive it.  I referred to Pinterest, as so many of us do, and saw that stampers are using this set to adorn bare trees.  So I grabbed White Christmas from our Holiday Catalog and started playing and … voila!

trees

Making this card was a very organic process.  A little of this here, a little of that there, etc. But I’m very happy with the outcome!

Instructions:

After stamping the trees with Chocolate Chip, I re-inked  just one of the two trees and stamped it in the middle of the others to create a trio. Then I filled the trees with Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow and Hello Honey foliage using the big dot stamp from Gorgeous Grunge. As I stamped the various colors, I turned my stamp in different directions so the trees didn’t look the same. Mossy Meadow is an intense color so I stamped off for most of those “leaves” to create a more muted tone.

I sponged Hello Honey in the sky and sponged all three of the foliage colors on the ground.

If you recreate this design, don’t forget to stamp fallen leaves at the base of the trees. It’s Fall, afterall!

Cost-saving tips:
I listed the Project Life Corner Punch below as a tool to use to round corners.  I actually used the punch in the Envelope Punch Board.  So … if you already have the fabulous Envelope Punch Board or the Gift Box Punch Board, don’t forget that it comes equipped with a corner punch that you can use in all of your projects.

I used the greeting from Too Kind because that particular greeting was a good fit for the space. 🙂 But clearly you can use any greeting that’s already in your arsenal.   In fact, look through your stamp sets.  You might be surprised at how many of your Stampin’ Up! stamp sets have greetings!
