Yesterday was the first of four posts highlighting the fabulous For All Things stamp set featured in our Holiday Catalog*.
Today’s project incorporates our coordinating Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper.
I LOVE the richness of the Blackberry Bliss. It’s so yummy I could eat it!
The wheat stamped on the Blackberry Bliss cardstock is embossed with clear embossing powder. While it’s an option to stamp the wheat with Blackberry Bliss ink on the Blackberry Bliss cardstock, I wanted the images to really pop and stand out against the dark cardstock so I embossed instead.
To create the starburst background with the Blackberry Bliss cardstock and Color Me Autumn DSP:
Determine where the central point of your card will be (in this case, where I adhered the wheat image). On a scratch piece of paper, draw lines through that central point to opposite ends of the card. Label each section as to what cardstock or DSP you will use for that section. Punch a circle at the central point and then cut each segment out to use as stencils for the cardstock and DSP. The punched out circle will help you place your cut cardstock and DSP in their correct positions.
To make the speckles of Blackberry Bliss ink on the white cardstock: Our Gorgeous Grunge stamp set can be used. But if you don’t have that stamp set in your arsenal, you can create the speckles with Aqua Painters as explained in this previous post.
